My time at IBM iX Berlin
From 2021 until 2024, I worked at IBM iX Berlin, where I gained valuable experience in various design processes and projects in the web and app sector.
I supported both UI and UX tasks, deepening my app and web product design knowledge.
Unfortunately, due to confidentiality reasons, I am not able to publish more openly detailed visual information online about my design work at IBMiX Berlin.

Minijob Zentrale
During my initial project, I contributed to the web redesign of Minijob Zentrale from 2021 to 2022 as part of my trainee period.
I received a warm introduction to the IBM iX team, where I learned how to effectively design user interfaces for responsive screens, ranging from mobile to desktop, using Sketch. These designs served as templates for the web developers. Additionally, I took on tasks related to illustration, animation and PowerPoint building for the Project Lead.
My experience included working with a design system and utilizing animation tools in Sketch to animate UI elements. I became familiar with web animation and had the opportunity to apply it to several UI elements, suggesting animations for buttons, cards, and checkboxes.
Moreover, we carefully monitored and optimized the design's responsiveness to ensure a seamless user experience across all devices for online forms and services.
My Learnings as a Trainee UI Designer
• building pixel perfect responsive screen designs for mobile, tablet and desktop in Sketch and later Figma
• applied typography and iconography to craft visually appealing and functional interfaces
• awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG) to create inclusive interfaces.
• collaborating with UX designers to translate concepts into user interface screens
• creating PowerPoint presentations for critical benchmarking analysis for the project lead
• quality testing in WordPress CM with the design team before going live (personally, repetitive and stressful task for everybody in the final days)
